How to apply for a committee appointment

We seek interested volunteers to serve on UEG Boards & Committees. Participation in our boards offers several benefits: network with leading physicians and scientists, make an impact in your field and help advance gastroenterological care.

Potential candidates are nominated by UEG Member Societies and are either elected by the General Assembly or National Societies Forum or appointed to serve as society representatives on one of the committees. There are also independent members, that are appointed on an ad-hoc basis and do not require a nomination from a Member Society.

Have a look at our guidelines for becoming a member of UEG Committees. UEG is committed to reflect today’s professional landscape and thus we particularly look for input from female and young gastroenterologists.

UEG actively promotes equality throughout our organisation and activities, particularly with regard to gender, race and nationality. Candidates from underrepresented groups, in particular women, are encouraged to apply.
