Public Affairs Commmittee
It is vital that we raise awareness of digestive disease among the general public, as well as specialists and decision-makers. The Public Affairs Committee maintains professional media relations through press releases, press conferences and personal contacts with key journalists.
The Committee provides a bi-monthly news service to UEG members, giving the latest information on gastroenterology directly from the centre of political power in Brussels. We are in regular contact with Members of the European Parliament (MEPs), Representatives of the European Commission and Council, as well as other EU stakeholders, to push digestive disease to the top of the EU Health agenda.
