Basic Science Course
Use of human tissue in gastroenterology research
July 10-12, 2013
London, United Kingdom
The use of human tissue in research into gastrointestinal disease is well established in fields such as cancer and inflammatory bowel disease, but understanding neural control and sensory function of the human gut has only recently begun in earnest, after many past attempts. This course seeks to capitalise on the recent development of elegant methods for research on human tissue, and their outcomes in terms of benefits for health care. The meeting will exclusively cover approaches and methods for research on human tissue from biopsies and surgical resections. A distinguished faculty of GI experts leads discussions on the wide range of research possibilities and close faculty-attendee interaction will be emphasised.
Application is closed.
