Basic Science Course 2018: Basic and translational research in motility and neurogastroenterology
June 27-29, 2018
Gasthuisberg Health Sciences Campus
UEG was delighted to welcome 40 participants from 18 different European countries to the UEG Basic Science Course, which took place in the Gasthuisberg Health Sciences Campus, Leuven, Belgium.
This course combined state-of-the-art lectures by specialists and abstract presentations by participants with hands-on training in the laboratory. Throughout the highly interactive educational activity, participants were encouraged to raise questions and comment on the presented information and instructions. Hands-on training proved to be a particular highlight of the course - the students worked in small groups of up to ten persons and were guided by local tutors. The hands-on sessions offered both a basic and a human track with various sessions each to allow participants a fully immersive educational experience.
Network & Connect
In addition to the extremely interesting scientific programme delegates and faculty members had the opportunity for scientific and social exchange.
UEG extends a special thank you to the course directors for the development of the scientific programme and for their tremendous efforts to make this workshop as proactive and enlightening as possible. UEG also thanks the local team of faculty and hands-on trainers at Gasthuisberg Health Sciences Campus for organising such outstanding hands-on trainings and for their personal onsite support.
